Between the 29th of November and the 6th of December 2008 the XVI International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Plus CAMERIMAGE took place. CAMERIMAGE is the greatest and most recognized festival dedicated to the art of cinematography and its creators - cinematographers. "52 Percent" (cinematography: Jakub Giza) and "The First Day" (cinematography: Marcin Sauter) were shown in the festival. Both productions took part in the Documentary Film Competition and the screenings were preceded by short introductions about the cinematographers.

"Stone Silence" at the DOC-EST in Romania

In the city of Jassy in Romania between the 4-6 of December 2008, the Documentary Film Festival DOC-EST took place. The festival concentrates on human rights problems. Polish films were presented by the Polish Institute in Bucarest. Krzysztof Kopczyński’s documentary film "Stone Silence" was presented at the event.
