"Planet Kirsan" nominated for "Silver Eye"

"Planet Kirsan" by Magdalena Pięta was selected for East Silver Market 2010, which takes place during 14th edition of International Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava.

The movie was also nominated for "Silver Eye Award", which is granted every year in three categories: best feature film, best short and mid-lenght documentary. This year organizers received more than 700 applications.

East Silver Eye winners will be announced at the 7th East Silver Market during the Opening ceremony of the XIV. Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in October 26, 2010.

"The Seeds" by Wojciech Kasperski are going to be presented during International Documentary Film Festival "Flahertiana".

The organizers decided to celebrate 10th edition of the festival by showing best films within "Parade of the Best Films of IDFF “Flahertiana”". "The Seeds" as a winner of 6th edition will be shown within this section.

Jacek Bławut, while announcing the verdict, said: "We wanted to award a movie, which was brave and original, and which is differs from certain standards".

"Kites" of Beata Dzianowicz will be presented during Festival of Human Rights in Moldova, which is organized by Institute of Human Rights in Moldova. The film will be screened in 3 cinemas and 7 cultural centers.
