Silver Hobby-Horse for "The Dybbuk"

Krzysztof Kopczyński was awarded on 55th Krakow Film Festival with Silver Hobby-Horse for the Director of the Best Documentary Film for his film "The Dybbuk. A Tale of Wandering Souls". The prize was awarded "for courage and non-conformity in showing an extremely complicated and universal problem of reciprocal intolerance when facing the dangers of the contemporary world."

"The Dybbuk" at the 55th Krakow Film Festival

We are pleased to invite you at the 55th Krakow Film Festival, where our documentary "The Dybbuk. A Tale of Wandering Souls" - participating in  both the international and Polish competition - will be shown three times:

- at the Opening Ceremony of the Festival, May 31, 6 p.m. in the cinema Kiev, 34 Zygmunt Krasinski Avenue. Q&A with Avishay Ave Hadari  - director's assistant and translator, Gennady Kofman - Ukrainian co-producer and executive producer, Krzysztof Kopczyński - director, screenwriter and producer, Jacek Petrycki - DOP;

- June 2, 5 p.m. in the auditorium of the Academy of Fine Arts, 13 Jan Matejko Square. After the screening the debate about the film with Avishay Hadari, Krzysztof Kopczyński and Paweł Reszka - reporter of "Tygodnik Powszechny", Ukrainian affairs expert will take place. The debate will be moderated by Malgorzata Nocuń, the author of many books about Ukraine and Belarus, deputy editor-in-chief of the bimonthly "New Eastern Europe";

- June 4, 3 p.m. in the cinema Micro, 5 Lea Str.

Furthermore, we invite you to the opening exhibition of photographs by Witold Krassowski taken during shooting - June 1, 4 p.m., Pause in Garden, Malopolska Garden of Art, Rajska 12 street (entrance from the Szujskiego Str).
